JENNIFER SCHOFIELD
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Jenn is a classically trained professional dancer, instructor and choreographer from Los Angeles California and has expertise in the areas Jazz, ontemporary, Hip Hop, Latin Ballroom and Ballet. Her dance and dance instruction/horeography career has spanned over the past 35 years where she has taught and choreographed for various dance studios such as the Ballet Conservatory of Aliso Viejo, Jimmy Dr Fore Dance Center and The Edge Performing Art Center in Southern California. She also has an extensive dance background in cheerleading and dance team instruction working as a Head Instructor for the National Dance and Cheerleading Association. Jenn has coached and choreographed for several high school competitive dance/cheer teams such as Laguna Hills High School and Centennial High School in Southern California. Jenn holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from the University of California Los Angeles and studied under the direction of Vic Marks, Judy Mitoma and Rebecca Lazier. She also attended the University of Washington on a dance scholarship for her first 2 years of undergraduate work where she studied under the direction of Hannah Wiley. Additional noteworthy dance accolades include a ballet scholarship to Ballet Aspen at the age of 11, summer intensive scholarships to Pacific Northwest Ballet and multiple scholarships to Pennsylvania Ballet apprentice program. Jenn was a 5 year stand out head instructor for the National Dance Association and was asked to choreograph the Aloha Bowl halftime show with Kevin Jones in 1997.
Taking her vast experience and knowledge in dance Jenn found herself wanting to reach a much larger audience in her 30’s – audiences that did not have always have the opportunity to tap into the dance world but were excited about the fun and release of movement in a physical way. Enter the dance fitness world where almost all instructors come from a “fitness first” perspective. In contrast Jenn brings an explosive wealth of dance movement to the space and has morphed intricate dance movement into athleticism that is both exciting and full of passion while being cardio intense and easy to follow. Many have said it is ENERGY on steroids. In 2016 she joined the Newtown Athletic Club fitness instructor team. The “NAC” is a national, top
5 private athletic health club and serves over 20,000 members. Jenn taught several classes per week and her classes averaged 80+ attendees and topped out at over 120+ members. In 2019 Jenn and her family moved to Raleigh NC where she joined the National Lifetime Fitness instructor team as a Master Dance Fitness Instructor and within 2 months had built a dance program for her home club with her average class size of 70+ members. In 2020 Jenn and her husband Brant founded Danz Insanity LLC. Danz Insanity’s goal is two fold. 1st Danz Insanity brings back true athleticism and methodology to the dance fitness space offering a major cardio and conditioning workout not just for dance trained individuals but for cardio maniacs! 2nd it teaches people how to dance without content being over choreographed and at the same time
not being boring and monotonous. It is truly exercise in disguise and turns people into their most in shape, sexy, and confident selves.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” css=”.vc_custom_1672257057670{padding-top: 60px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;}” z_index=””][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”19399″ alignment=”center” qode_css_animation=””][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″ offset=”vc_hidden-sm vc_hidden-xs” css=”.vc_custom_1672258105891{padding-right: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;}”][vc_column_text]
